Grant MacAllister is a Cinematographer based in Los Angeles, California. He holds a BFA in Cinema Arts & Science from Columbia College Chicago and an Associates Degree in Film Studies from Santa Fe Community College.
Grant came up in the industry as a camera assistant where he worked on several major motion pictures and television shows including Jerry Bruckheimer’s war film “12 Strong,” NBC’s “The Brave,” Paramount Network’s “Waco,” and Netflix’s “Longmire.” He has also worked outside of the studio system on several independent films that premiered at Sundance including J.T. Mollner’s gritty western “Outlaws and Angels,” Hannah Fidell’s road trip comedy “The Long Dumb Road,” and Danny McBride’s horror comedy “Arizona.”
Grant is experienced with professional cinema cameras including Arri Alexa XT, Alexa Mini, Alexa 65, Panavision and Arri 35mm film cameras, RED Epic, Sony, BlackMagic Design, and Canon C series.
